                                                                                  3rd grade homework help

Usually 3rd grade homework help is just about finding out what your child is learning.

In some cases of primary school homework help the parents just don’t know what their kids are learning, and they try and teach something that is way above their child’s head. So the first rule of 3rd grade homework

help is find out what your child is learning and help them with what they need to know. Even if that means getting hold of their teachers and having a chat.

Usually I ask one of my daughter’s friend’s parents to find out what the homework is.

Third grade homework help is still pretty basic stuff but it is very important as during this time your child is learning the basics for math and they should be well on the way to reading by themselves. For math you should be drilling in multiplying, subtracting and dividing so they know what they are doing and the short cuts to do it faster. The short cuts are very important because that is where they make up the time during exams. And to get the short cuts planted in your child’s mind they must repeat them and repeat them so they don’t forget them. Children are very good at forgetting as any parent will tell you.

Reading is another very important subject.

In the 3rd grade you will find out if your child is having trouble with reading and you should step in. My daughter was having problems so I brought in the Montessori sandpaper letters and that helped a lot. You cannot let your child get behind in reading because it will affect all subjects so you must keep on top of it even if that means reading your children to sleep every night with Harry Potter.
