If you are disillusioned with the lack of faith in the public school system try Christian homeschooling

For many years Christian families were the force behind homeschooling but as the public school system started to deteriorate many secular families have joined the ranks. From the latest homeschooling statistics, 30% said they were homeschooling ‘To provide religious or moral

instruction.’ The statistics didn’t break down any further into which religious groups, but we could possible assume the majority were Christians.

There is a wealth of information about Christian home schooling on the internet so the problem is whittling it down.

I would look for a Christian home schooling group in your city so you can meet people and talk face to face. In any group there is an abundance of information so that would be the best place to start. If there isn’t already a note on your church notice board put up a notice and see what the response is. In today’s world you do not need to go it alone.

Failing that find a Blog or forum.

People love to help so ask and you shall receive, and you’ll be amazed at the response. To get started in Christian home schooling you could try a full curriculum Christian school like Alpha Omega. With this school everything is done for you so it takes a lot of worry away. You just get your kids to follow the curriculum.

If you want to go it alone, curriculum wise, get some recommendations for the products you buy. I use a Montessori based Reading and Writing course that can be adapted to Christian homeschooling as you decide what your child learns to read and write.
