grow a vegetable garden How do you grow a vegetable garden?Actually you do not do very much to grow
a vegetable garden, nature does most of it for you. You just have to
supply the water. Forget about most of the things you have heard about how
to grow So you do things differently like first forget about everything and just plant some seeds. Then water them, and now you watch them grow but you must keep watering them. I like trickle or drip irrigation because you roll out the pipes, turn on the tap and basically forget about it. Now you keep planting seeds every weekend or every second weekend. And water them and that is what backyard vegetable gardening is all about. It is not about planting in rows and about the ph of the soil or the friability of the soil. It is about growing vegetables and to grow vegetables you plant some seeds but don’t plant too many all at once.Because if they all come up you will have too many vegetables to eat. Also growing a vegetable garden is about returning all vegetable material that you don’t eat back to the soil. That means all vegetable waste from the kitchen goes back on the garden. And all used parts of the vegetable plant stay on the garden as a mulch. This helps to improve soil fertility and if you do this you do not need to add fertilizer. So when you want to start to grow a vegetable garden just do it and forget most things you have heard. Check out our Vegetable Gardening page and see what you think, but now is the time to stop thinking and just throw a few seeds around the house to see what happens.
