The homeschooling advantages are many but there is always one that stands out

Every homeschooling family has its own list of homeschooling advantages as some things are more important to a family than others. For me I think the main advantage of homeschooling is you know what you kids have learnt. You don’t have to rely on school reports and what teachers say.

I would put that down as my second homeschooling advantage. 

You can teach as your child’s pace. If your child is a fast learner then you speed up and if not you slow down. You adjust to suit your child. And if problems surface you know very early whether or not your child understands. That is especially true for math and reading. You are there so you should know. Another aspect of homeschooling that I would say is an advantage is socialization.

 In a school environment all the kids are the same age while in the home school environment your children interact with everybody in society so they maintain a broader range of social abilities. In Montessori schools the children are grouped into 3 year age classes and even there it has been shown that Montessori kids are better at interacting with different classes of people. 

A lot of homeschooling parents say ‘faith values’ is the main home school advantage. But you can send your kids to any number of faith-based schools so I think there is more advantages than just a faith based curriculum.
