Homeschooling a child could be the most enjoyable time of your life

There is a lot of information about homeschooling available so you can either, wade through it and find out how to do it or you can just do it. When homeschooling a single child you must have space. Do not crowd

each other out. You do not have to be looking over your child’s shoulder all the time to see if she is doing it right. Show her how to do it then go and do the washing and leave specific instructions to come and see you if there are any problems.

Most child can learn on their own you just have to guide them.

Also with younger children they need play-time so let them, as long as play time is not the TV. The TV should be switched off all the time. If you cannot live without the TV you cannot home school a child. When I was homeschooling my daughter, for teaching reading and writing I used a Montessori based course, which was excellent. But you have to set it up. We were using sandpaper letters and at first I would make up the words and the kid would repeat them.

After a while the kid would make up the words and trace them. In the end I just had to test her. So the kid could make up her own learning. I had to write out the words she wanted to learn and them she would do the rest. I also had flash or picture cards I used to hang all over the walls so she could see the picture and the word.

Homeschooling a child is as much as not getting on each others nerves and that means answering all questions. Kids love talking so they ask questions and you have to answer them. Never and I mean never stop a child from asking questions.
