At lot of home schooling materials look good, but when you start to use them you find they are not as good. 

That is why you should join your local homeschooling group and then you trade or borrow different books or homeschooling material. If you find a course that your kids like, tell the home school mums in your home school group about it. They are always on the lookout for good home schooling materials. 

For reading and writing I like this Montessori Reading and Writing  ecourse. It did wonders for my daughter. Also for downloadable games and puzzles me and the kid used Brain-e-Games. They got some good games that you can print out and play. One language course that I am very impressed with is the Rocket Spanish course. A bit pricey but very effective, download it to your computer and away you go. 

Also home schooling materials are all around you, reading labels in the supermarket and billboards. A natural stroll through the park or a walk along the beach can all be turned into learning experiences. Kids don’t need books for everything. The younger they are they should spend more time on reading and arithmetic. If your kids can read early that is one distinct advantage.
