Peak Oil Documentary

I was very impressed with this latest documentary. At least the use-by-date for cheap oil is getting more realistically closer. I think we are now living at the end of the age of cheap oil and life is only going to get worse. 

And by 2016 I think we are going to be in a pretty severe collapse scenario. 

We should already be having serious major electricity blackouts as the old coal fired electricity generating plants die from over use and there is nothing to replace them with. Because global warming hates coal we stopped making new coal fired plants and now we are paying the price. 

The general theme of the documentary was of gradual collapse but I think the collapse will be sudden and severe. And all our technological advances of the 20 th century will collapse with our civilization. 

One point the movie didn’t make is the overpopulation problem that is going to collapse the planet. 

Every child born this millennium will have a terrible life. They will see the end of cheap oil, the end of cheap food, the end of cheap electricity, and the end of cheap easy to get clean water as well as the end of a lot of other things.

Agriculture is just turning oil into food and without the oil we have no food. 

The documentary interviewed some very prominent peak oil people, but nobody said very much about the impact the end of cheap oil will have on our future.
