There are a number of problems with homeschooling but they can all be overcome.

There are two types of problems with homeschooling, problems that affect the child and problems that affect the parents. When looking at the child’s problems we usually run into loneliness and few friends but

When the kids are at school we have all the time in the world but when at home where does all the time go. Homeschooling is a way of life. Everything we do is to do with teaching your children something they have to learn for school. Or finding out a program that will help you teach the subject. 

With the internet, homeschooling is a lot easier as help is only a few clicks away. 

If you have any problems just log onto your favorite blog or forum and ask. Somebody out there is cyberspace will answer. People love to help and in turn you will find somebody to help when somebody asks. So don’t be afraid to ask for help. 

Some parents are concerned that they don’t know how to teach but as a parent you help with homework. 

Homeschooling is about helping your child to learn not teaching them like in school. Some subjects like math might be beyond the scope of the parents but just ask and you will find help even if it is a program that will teach your child for you. Help is out there you just have to ask. 

One problem that keeps cropping up is burnout and it is a real problem. I think the best cure for burnout is change. Just do things differently, instead of the kitchen table try under a tree out in the yard. Or go for a drive to a museum and learn about history instead of watching a dvd or reading a book.
