Will Dubai Survive?

Dubai to me is a classic example of man’s folly or stupidity. I liken Dubai to the Egyptian Pharaoh Akhenaten , the father of Tutankhamun and husband of Nefertiti

Dubai is in the same situation it was built to please the God of Greed or the God of Over Confidence or the God of Stupidity. Why build a city in the desert where everything has to be taken into the city – food, water, workers and the waste of civilization taken away. I don’t know if they had any water recycling plants. 

I would say that as soon as the collapse of western civilization starts, Dubai will be abandoned. 

It will be left in the desert as a monument to mankind. In a few thousand years when the remnants of western civilization have evolved back into some form of civilization, there will be stories of this lost city in the desert where nobody goes. 

Archeologists will die trying to find this city and they will. They will see the massive skyscrapers sticking out of the sand and marvel at the ingenuities of ancient man. Then they will try and piece the story together as to why the city was built in such an inhospitable place. 

There was no water source and no farmland. 

They might come to the conclusion that the city was built to please the God of the Sea, as there were the remnants of buildings in the sea. They will marvel at the buildings that looked like nobody ever lived in them. But will they be able to figure out that the whole complex was a tribute to man’s impending doom and was built to please the God of Greed.
