                                                                                                    Aquasaurs
Aquasaurs a thing from the past is now a pet of the future.

Aquasaurs have survived everything our planet has thrown at them. They survived ice ages, droughts and floods and still somewhere managed to outlive the dinosaurs and many other species.

And it looks like they haven’t changed in a 100 million years. They have three eyes,

a skeleton outside their body and somewhere between 35 and 70 pairs of legs that glide them through the water. It is yet to be seen if they will survive global warming, but why shouldn’t they, they seem to love the heat. And most importantly they can survive a trip by US mail to anywhere in the continental USA at any time of the year.

They are not like the other mail order critters that are temperature sensitive and can only be shipped during the summer. If you need something alive to give the grandson in the dead of winter in the middle of the country then Aquasaurs are it.

As an egg they can survive anything, but once they hatch the temperature must stay on the warm side so it is recommended that you put a lamp over the habitat to keep the water temperature constant. Other than the lamp they are pretty user friendly except the water sometimes gets pretty murky and needs to be cleaned.

With these critters the eggs come with the habitat so you don’t need to send away for the live bugs but you get a certificate so you can send away for some more if yours die off. And it seems they do and you are left wondering how they managed to outlive the dinosaurs when you can’t even keep yours alive for longer than a week. It is better to break the egg packet in half and only put in half the cake the first time.
