It is simply amazing what a backyard vegetable garden will produce even if you are not the best gardener on your block. For a backyard vegetable garden to start supplying you with vegetables all

you have to do is plant the seeds and water them. Then nature will take over and start growing some vegetables. It gets slightly more complicated than that but that is the basics. If you are really getting into this growing vegetable thing then I recommend laying down some drip or trickle irrigation pipes. There are plenty of different styles to choose from at your local garden center.

When you start a backyard vegetable garden you have to choose between a beautiful well maintained backyard and a not so beautiful well maintained backyard.

When you are mowing your lawn it is very easy to keep your backyard under control. But with a vegetable garden there can be weeds popping up between your vegetable plants and you can’t mow them. So to maintain a backyard vegetable garden you should not worry too much about the weeds. My golden rule is keep planting seeds at regular interval intervals say every weekend and then you will have a constant supply of fresh vegetables on your kitchen table everyday.

For a backyard vegetable garden to be a success you must get into the habit of doing something in your garden everyday.

Even if that is just walking around with the watering hose or pulling up a weed or two. With a lawn you mowed it every weekend or two and that was it. But with a backyard vegetable garden you must do a bit more work to make it supply your kitchen table with vegetables everyday.
