Medical Tourism is the Way to Go

     With insurance costs getting more expensive it might be prudent to reevaluate your insurance needs. Now I practice a type of minimal insurance and that saves me a ton of money. The only medical insurance I have is an accident insurance policy and I need that because when you have an accident that is when you need insurance. 

     I don’t go to doctors unless I’m nearly dying then they usually just pump me full of antibiotics and send me home. I don’t take any prescription medications just a handful of vitamins and minerals, some fish oil or cod liver oil and Spirulina and Chorella. I do a bit of non-stress exercise and I try very hard to lay off the sugar. Sugar and processed foods seem to be the biggest threats to my health. 

Also I’m a Great Believer in Medical Tourism. 

    You can plan most operations, they are not really sudden and if they are you might be able to get them on your accident insurance policy, but don’t bet on it. Insurance companies just don’t like forking out the money. That is why it is handy to know about medical tourism. What's wrong with having a trip to China. Have 2 weeks look around then have your operation and 2 weeks to recover. 

    I Don’t Think the Hospital System in the West is as Great as we are Led to Believe

     And I think the hospital system in countries like China is now up to the standard in the west. In China the big hospitals usually have a section for foreigners or people with lots of money and that side of the hospital is usually about 4 times the price the local people pay. I always go to the cheap side and there the quality is just the same. 

I Always Get my Teeth done in China because the Dentists are Exceptional. 

     The dentist I go to in Guangzhou China has a master’s degree in dentistry and he knows his stuff. The only problem is they don’t do a full check up. I went in for a toothache and all he did was the toothache and he didn’t look for anything else. 

     To get your teeth cleaned you have to get another dentist. My master’s degree dentist is not going to clean your teeth. And the dentist who cleaned and polished my teeth was not very good. 

     The First Time I Went to the Dentist in China about 12 years ago it was a Bit Backward

     The water filter was blocked with all this brown stuff but the water that came out the tap was okay to rinse your teeth and spit out. But I wouldn’t drink it. The women dentist was excellent, she put a cap on and I’ve still got it today. She knew what she was doing, that was the main thing. 

     Nowadays the hospitals have been revamped and they are clean and very efficient but you do need somebody who can speak Chinese to guide you through the process, which can be very complicated. And finding your way around the hospital is very daunting and I don’t recommend it. Most hospitals have a dentist section and I usually go to them. Some cities have a dentist hospital and that is a lot more expensive that the usual hospital. But I don’t think it is any better. It might be for very complicated dentist work but for the usual stuff just go to the dentist in the hospital.

     Nowadays With the Future Looking very Uncertain it could be a Very Good Idea to Try and Get Out of Debt. 

     And reducing your insurance needs will save you a lot of money especially medical insurance. I mean the fear of something happening keeps you paying insurance and usually nothing happens. There seems to be a trend that basically says you need a doctor and with kids you do need to have a doctor on hand. 

    I prefer a natural type of doctor even though they could be more expensive they do give you more time. I’m now even starting to doubt the more expensive bit. The last time I went to a mainstream doctor the price kept going up and up so in the end there wasn’t much difference between the price of the doctor and the natural doctor. Except for time, with the natural doctor I had over half an hour. With the normal doctor it was about 10 minutes. 

     Also check out the price of doctor’s clinics that are run through a church. They are a lot cheaper than mainstream doctors. I was utterly amazed at the difference in price. Also natural doctors are not overly concerned if you don’t want your child to get vaccinated for whatever reason. Whereas some mainstream doctors get very upset if you refuse vaccinations.
